I was recommended another way to contact Meta regarding GDPR article 15. This might also give me insight into why my account was suspended as per GDPR article 12. So wish me luck. This email was send today.

Dear Data Protection Officer,

I am hereby exercising my right of access under Article 15 of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

I request a complete copy of all personal data Meta holds about me in relation to my Facebook/Instagram account(s), including data processed for security, advertising, analytics, automated decision‑making, and account enforcement.

1. My account information

My account is currently disabled, but under GDPR Article 12(2), Meta must facilitate the exercise of my rights regardless of account status.

2. I request the following information under Article 15 GDPR

A. A copy of all personal data Meta processes about me, including but not limited to:

  • Profile data
  • Photos, videos, posts, comments, messages from all groups and pages I have administrative access to
  • Login history, IP logs, device data
  • Location data
  • Ad interactions and ad‑targeting data
  • Tracking data (pixels, cookies, off‑Facebook activity)
  • Security logs
  • Account restriction or enforcement logs
  • Any data used in automated decision‑making

B. Information on processing activities

Please provide:

  1. The purposes of all processing
  2. Categories of personal data processed
  3. Categories of recipients, including third countries
  4. Retention periods for each category of data
  5. Source of the data, if not collected directly from me
  6. Existence of automated decision‑making, including profiling
  7. Meaningful information about the logic involved, including:
    • criteria used
    • data points considered
    • how decisions are made
    • how these decisions affect me

C. Specific request regarding account suspension

If my account has been restricted, suspended, or disabled, please provide:

  • The exact reason for the enforcement action
  • The specific content or behavior that triggered it
  • The automated systems involved
  • All internal notes, logs, timestamps, and decision records
  • Any human review performed
  • All risk scores, flags, or internal classifications

This information is required under Articles 12, 14, 15, and 22 GDPR.

3. Identity verification

If you require additional information to verify my identity, please inform me immediately and specify exactly what is needed.

4. Response deadline

Under GDPR Article 12(3), Meta must respond within one month of receiving this request.
